Rockpooling with the Ranger

Have a seashore adventure with the Ranger

Dumfries and Galloway is famous for it's miles of coast and it has some fantastic beaches to explore. Everyone likes guddling (messing) around in rockpools and looking under rocks on the seashore or investigating the strand line. I will bring magnifying viewers and pots to look more closely and the expertise to help identify things. You never know what you are going to find! You can do some rock pooling and then try some pond dipping to see the differences between the creatures that live in salt water and fresh water if you would like a full day with the Ranger. Or you might like to go for a mud walk out into an estuary and see what the difference is between a rocky and muddy shore.

I also create a lot of my art on the seashore and you might want to try you hand at sand raking or environmental  art on the beach.
