What do people who have been on my Ranger activities think?
I have a certification mark from the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere. This highlights that Freelance Ranger is environmentally friendly and sustainable development business.
Another fantastic day at Brighouse Bay. Thank you for your input, Fiona
Thank you for the evening session you did with us. It added another dimension to our Christmas holiday.
We are back in the south now, clear skies left behind. Jan and Paul Cooper about startazing and rocket lab experience Many thanks for a memorable evening at Cairnsmoor.
Even though the stars were not on view, the walk on the viaduct and the camp fire were wonderful alternatives which we all enjoyed. The evening as a whole is something I am sure the girls will always remember. I will definitely get in touch to organise a repeat session. Thanks again and best wishes for the future. Mick Ennes I want to thank you for your involvement, which was really beneficial to the overall event. As we saw, the two activities you offered were amongst (if not the!) most popular and through them you provided new learning experiences for local families. You had a lovely manner with the participating children and young people and I greatly appreciated your use of informal conversation to draw out their existing knowledge and to teach them new things. Thank you for your commitment to health and safety both prior to and on the day and for your good advice in relation to the park redevelopment. Rhona Macgregor, Community Learning and Development Worker, Dumfries and Galloway Council
A huge thank you to Elizabeth for delivering a brilliant skills share at Rockcliffe beach on Wednesday. I for one had my eyes opened to the opportunities that the beach has to offer for outdoor learning (and the differences – no trees to tie things to!!!) Robin Fuller, Chair Dumfries and Galloway OWL
Thank you for last night. We all really enjoyed it even though the stars weren't there. The kids are now desperate to try making bread on a campfire. We hope to come and take part in some of your other events. Our three words are exciting, tasty and dark. X Emma Jhan

Thank you so much to Kate and Angus at Corsewall Estate Holiday Cottages and to Freelance Ranger, Elizabeth Tindal, for a really wonderful evening star gazing, marshmallow toasting, damper bread making and moon viewing at Corsewall. Such a great (dark!) location to do it, and so brilliantly organised, even timed perfectly for us to get a super view of the International Space Station flying overhead. You kept both our children captivated on a dark, cold night - they just loved every minute. Wonderful! Lucy Johnston
Thank you so much Elizabeth for a wonderful star gazing evening at Corsewall Estate Holiday Cottages-it was such fun and so informative. Hello! When we were back yesterday we just kept talking about the amazing experience we had and ended up sleeping at 5.30am and I kept bragging to my mum that I saw shooting stars! Hahaha! ….... My interest for stars has developed further as I understand more about it now! Not to forget the interesting campfire too! I really appreciate your company yesterday and will definitely be back for more stargazing in the near future!
Jessryl Lee Had a great time. Kids made their own den and campfire treats in the afternoon were delicious. Thanks for a fantastic day Elizabeth. John Pickering

We had a fantastic night with you on Saturday. It's a shame it was so cloudy but it didn't matter to the kids, they really loved it. Such a fun and different way to spend a Saturday evening. Very informative and I loved that the kids could all get involved and help with everything. Just brilliant. My daughter, Georgia who is 7 say her 3 words to describe her night were Fun, Interesting and Exciting. Looking forward to this Saturday at Castle Kennedy ☺️ Maria Sutherland

Thank you for giving our American and Canadian journalists the MOST memorable part of their trip to Scotland. In our “debrief” at the end of the trip, when I asked them what their very favorite thing was … they ALL said stargazing with you. How great is that?
We appreciate your willingness to come out and spend your night with us. We all absolutely loved the experience and I think it’s one of those “once-in-a-lifetime” things that travel journalists do and then remember forever. Mindy Bianca |

Dear Elizabeth,
I am so sorry we have taken so long to get back to you to thank your for our truly wonderful (in the real sense of the word) evening with you down at Wigtown Harbour. We felt so lucky that the clouds rolled away and we had a great view. The most fortunate thing was that we were recommended you by the Forestry Visitors’ Centre as you made everything so vivid for us and communicated at just the right level for educated idiots (i.e. people who were educated if ancient but who knew very little about stars) We have recommended you to lots of our friends already! I have written a kind of formal reference for you that you could manipulate to suit your website if you thought it might be useful. We have also, between us, got three words for both evenings, the first one contributed by Alec, the other 3 words from Jim and me about our ‘private’ night.

Alec (5) “FUN, fire, marshmallows” then he added, “and we’ll have stars when we come back soon” He apparently spoke for five minutes about it at his nursery on Monday morning, ending up triumphantly, “And now I know ALL about fires”.
Jim’s and my three words for the second night, Wonderful, Awe-inspiring there’s a hyphen so it’s still one word), Educational”
