Dark Sky Walk at Moffat Walking Weekend 2nd October

Moffat Walking Weekend are hosting lots of walks during their weekend including one of mine. 
​Come on the Dark Sky and Stargazing walk at Gallow Hilll, part of Moffat Walking Weekend with Biosphere Dark Sky Ranger, Elizabeth Tindal
Where better to go stargazing than in Moffat, the only Dark Sky Community in the UK. Biosphere Dark Sky Ranger, Elizabeth Tindal, is leading a walk and stargazing experience on Saturday night. Walking up Gallow Hill path in the dark is an experience in itself, as it is really, really will be dark. Elizabeth will provide everyone with head torches to help us find our way find and tell you some of the science and stories behind the stars, their constellations and the rest of our universe.

Elizabeth Tindal, Freelance Ranger has an job that she loves. It involves getting people to have fun outside, being creative and learning about the world around them. Many of the activities and experiences she has developed are designed to engage the imagination from mud walks to making beach art. Winter or Summer she has lots for everyone to be involved in. She has the amazing title of Biosphere Dark Sky Ranger, where she specialises in Darkness Eco Tourism and Stargazing Experiences where she works with the Galloway Forest Dark Sky Park and the Galloway and Southern Ayrshire Biosphere. All her activities and Experiences come with a Biosphere Charter Mark denoting that her business has an environmental and sustainable ethos.
